Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah and his wife Sanjana Ganesan welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Angad , on Monday. Both Bumrah and Ganesan shared the joyful news on Instagram , marking a significant moment in their lives. The couple had tied the knot in Goa in March 2021.

In their Instagram post, they expressed their excitement, saying, "Our little family has grown & our hearts are fuller than we could ever imagine! This morning we welcomed our little boy, Angad Jasprit Bumrah into the world. We are over the moon and can’t wait for everything this new chapter of our lives brings with it."
Prior to this heartwarming announcement, news had surfaced on Sunday that Bumrah would be departing from Sri Lanka, where India was actively participating in the 50-over Asia Cup. He needed to return to Mumbai for personal reasons.

Consequently, Bumrah was slated to miss India's second and final group match against Nepal on Monday. However, he was set to rejoin the India squad before the commencement of the Super 4s stage of the tournament later in the week.

Bumrah's appearance in India's first match of the Asia Cup against Pakistan on Saturday marked his return to ODI cricket for the Men in Blue since July 2022. Although he contributed 16 runs from 23 balls with the bat, he didn't have the opportunity to bowl in the second innings due to rain, which led to the game being called off with both teams earning one point each.
