Google Meet , a leading video-conferencing platform, is now equipped with an innovative AI-driven tool designed to assist users in note-taking during meetings .

Google announced this new feature , "Take notes for me," in a recent blog post, highlighting its availability for Google Workspace customers using the desktop version of Google Meet. The company emphasized that this tool allows participants to remain fully engaged in discussions and presentations, as the AI automatically generates notes throughout the meeting.

After the meeting concludes, these notes are conveniently attached to the calendar event, ensuring easy access for all participants within the organization. The document is saved as a Google Doc on the meeting organizer's Google Drive. For those joining a meeting late, a simple command like “Summary so far” can generate an AI-created recap of the discussion.

Currently, this AI note-taking feature is available only in English and is limited to the desktop version of Google Meet. Google has announced that this Gemini -powered tool will be accessible to all Workspace customers with Gemini Enterprise, Gemini Education Premium, and AI Meetings & Messaging add-ons by September 10.

In addition to this, Google has also launched Gemini-powered “Help me write” and “Polish” features on Gmail, simplifying the process of drafting and refining emails. These features are available to Google Workspace customers across web, Android, and iOS platforms.
