Amid the recent Hamas attack on Israel , various celebrities have been expressing their opinions and taking stands on the matter. Singer Justin Bieber faced significant backlash for a post related to the ongoing conflict. He had shared a photo on his Instagram stories depicting the destruction in Gaza, accompanied by the words 'Praying for Israel.' Following a social media uproar, Bieber deleted the post but later reposted the same message without the accompanying picture.

"To vilianize all Palestinians or all Israeli people to me seems wrong," Bieber stated in an earlier post on his Instagram Story. "I'm not interested in choosing sides, but I am interested in standing with the families who have been brutally taken from us."

However, Justin 's initial post, supporting Israel with a picture of Gaza, didn't sit well with netizens. Bieber, who boasts 293 million followers on Instagram, faced harsh criticism from social media users.

"Justin Bieber posting 'Praying for Israel' using a picture of destroyed Gaza is actually insane," one social media user expressed.

The user also highlighted Bieber's failure to address the violence in Palestine, saying, "He could've addressed it, he could've also included Palestinians in his prayers now that he's seen the destruction, but nope. He just changed it and went on with his day."

Another user emphasised the need for celebrities to conduct proper research before making statements that could hurt millions of people, even though Bieber had apologised. "Hope he learns from it," they remarked.

Meanwhile, Jamie Lee Curtis also shared a picture of children, believing it depicted Israeli children. She captioned the image with "Terror from the skies" and included an Israeli flag. Upon realising that the picture actually showed Gazan children, she promptly deleted the post.

On the other hand, the number of Israelis who lost their lives during Hamas' invasion of southern Israel over the weekend climbed to 1,200 on Wednesday morning. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) continued to target Palestinian terror assets in the Gaza Strip. Overnight Tuesday, the Israeli Air Force carried out airstrikes on more than 200 targets in Gaza's Al Furqan neighbourhood, which the military described as "a terror nest for Hamas" where "many activities against Israel are carried out." This marked Israel's third strike in the area in the past 24 hours.
