Lior Raz, a pivotal figure in the Israeli Netflix series ' Fauda ,' has taken a bold step into the front lines of the ongoing conflict against Hamas . On Monday night, Raz shared a 20-second video on X (formerly known as Twitter) from the Israeli town of Sderot , which has been subjected to bombings by Hamas.

He was there to assist in the evacuation of two families and was part of a group of volunteers known as 'Brothers in Arms.'

An Unwavering Resolve
In his tweet, the actor expressed his dedication to this humanitarian effort. He mentioned being accompanied by Yohanan Plesner , the president of the Israel Democracy Institute , and Avi Yissascharov, a journalist.
Raz, a renowned actor celebrated for his roles in 'Hit & Run' and '6 Underground,' also gave credit to the courageous volunteers who make up the 'Brothers in Arms' group, tirelessly assisting the population in southern Israel .

Brothers in Arms: Unsung Heroes
Raz took to the social media platform X to share his experience: "Accompanied by Yohanan Plesner @yplesner and Avi @issacharoff , I headed down south to join hundreds of brave "brothers in arms" volunteers who worked tirelessly to assist the population in the south of Israel. We were sent to the bombarded town of Sderot to extract 2 families,"

In the video, Raz and his companions can be seen witnessing a rocket attack on Israel launched by Hamas.

Earlier on Monday, Raz, known for his portrayal of Doron Kabilio in the political thriller 'Fauda,' used his Instagram story to call for calm, as reported by The Jewish Chronicle. He emphasised the importance of remembering the instigators of the conflict: "We are appealing to you - please remember this day even later in the war. Remember who started the massacre. Hamas is an organisation that wants to destroy the Jews and does not want to talk about peace in any conditions.

"When the war turns, and we promise you that we Israelis will turn it, and Gaza will absorb the losses, remember that we go into this war with a heavy heart, with no desire to kill innocents, and with no choice in the face of those who come against us."

A Message of Hope
Over the weekend, another prominent Israeli figure in the entertainment industry, Gal Gadot , spoke out against the ongoing conflict and criticised Palestine for an unprovoked attack on her homeland.

Gadot , who served two mandatory years in the Israel Defence Forces before pursuing a career in Hollywood, emphasised the global significance of the situation, saying, "the world cannot sit on the fence when these horrific acts of terror are happening!"
