Nine of 18 industries selected for industrial growth programme from Aurangabad and Jalna

Aurangabad: Nine out of 18 industries from Aurangabad and Jalna have been selected for the Wadhwani Foundation Advantage Programme scheduled to be inaugurated by state industry minister Subhash Desai in Mumbai on Tuesday.

The morning session of the programme will see state industry minister Subhash Desai, minister of state for industry and mining Atul Save and additional development secretary for small scale industry ministry (Government of India) Ram Mohan Mishra will be addressing the present delegates.



“The afternoon session will see detailed presentation on projects of Wadhwani Foundation. After the experience sharing session the programme will conclude,” said executive VP Wadhwani Foundation Sameer Sathe.

Established in 2000, the foundation founded under Ramesh Wadhwani helps small scale industries gain economic growth through large scale initiatives in job creation and skill development. Apart from that, it also work for small businesses with revenue of Rs 5 to 350 crore. The programme has a 30-day selection process followed by 1-12 months of deep engagement.

As part of their joint initiative, Marathwada Accelerator for Growth and Incubation Council (MAGIC) held 30 workshops and groomed seven startups during these workshops. “Those selected through this project will be helped and guided for human resource development, consumers and capital management for their industry. Altogether 18 of them are selected for the Wadhwani Advantage Programme-West out of which nine are from Aurangabad and Jalna,” said Magic director Ashish Garde.
