Noida: Journalist slips, falls off second floor

NOIDA: A 24-year-old journalist allegedly fell from the second floor of the balcony in her rented accommodation in Jalvayu Vihar, Sector 21, early on Thursday.

According to police, Ashna Bhutani, a native of Kolkata, who works as a correspondent with a newspaper, slipped while she was sitting in the balcony along with three other friends.

“It seems they were celebrating an occasion. Bhutani was sitting on the railing and lost balance. Her friends took her to Kailash Hospital where she is undergoing treatment,” said Pawan Kumar, sub-inspector, Sector 20 police station. Doctors said she suffered injuries on pelvic area and thighs. No complaint has been filed yet.
