Now, rains may rob Diwali of its dhamaka

According to Skymet Weather, Ahmedabad may receive light rainfall on October 28 and 29

After spoiling your Navratri plans, the rains seem to be coming back to make your patakhas turn phuskas. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted unseasonal rainfall in parts of Gujarat for the next two days.

Only light to moderate rain is expected and this is likely to damage crops. As per Skymet weather forecast, Ahmedabad is also likely to receive light rain on October 28-29.

As per IMD, light to moderate rain is expected at isolated places including, Dahod, Mahisagar, Dangs, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Daman, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath for next two days.

The forecast by IMD states, "Light to moderate rain/thundershowers very likely at isolated places in the district of South Gujarat region namely Surat, Valsad, Navsari, Tapi and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli; in the districts of Saurashtra namely Gir Somnath, Amreli and Bhavnagar. Dry weather very likely in all the districts of North Gujarat region, Kutch district, remaining districts of South Gujarat region, Saurashtra and in Diu."

Mahesh Palawat, Vice President of Meteorological and Climate Change in Skymet weather said, "On Tuesday, light to moderate rain can be expected at isolated places in the state. There is a well-marked low pressure in the east-central Arabian Sea which is moving north side. Another low pressure is developing which is likely to bring rain in Surat, Valsad, Navsari and likely in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar also." The city will remain warm this week.
