Over 3 Lakh NRC Applicants Did Not File Claims : Dispur Clueless

GUWAHATI: Even however Dispur chose to direct a request to discover foundations of 3.87 lakh people who did not record claims (as they were forgotten about from the total draft NRC) to incorporate their names in the last NRC, the request stayed in paper just leaving a few inquiries on socio-political status of such people unanswered.

The last NRC will be distributed on August 31.

The request did not advance even after the Superintendents of Police of various regions were asked by the Home and Political office to follow foundations of all the 3.87 NRC candidates. The SPs should direct the activity in meeting with the State NRC Coordinator.

The procedure of receipt of NRC application structures began during the part of the bargain, and finished on Aug 31, 2015. An aggregate of 3,29,91,384 individuals connected through 68,31,330 applications.

On fruition of confirmation all things considered, the total draft NRC was distributed on July 30, 2018. The draft rundown incorporated the names of 2,89,83,677 qualified applicants.  The names of 40,07, 707 candidates were let well enough alone for the draft NRC. While 36.2 lakh candidates recorded their cases to incorporate their names in the last NRC, 3.87 lakh candidates did not document their cases.
