Over 83 People Killed Due To Lightning In UP-Bihar

Recently, over 83 people have died due to lightning strikes in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced an immediate compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the family of all the dead of the state. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi

has also expressed grief on this incident by tweeting.

On Thursday, the statement issued by the CMO said that due to lightning, 13 in Gopalganj, 5 in East Champaran, 6 in Siwan, 5 in Darbhanga, 5 in Banka, 5 in Bhagalpur, 3 in Khagadia, 8 in Madhubani. 2 in Champaran, 1 each in Samastipur, Saran, Sitamarhi and Shivhar, 2 in Kishanganj, 2 each in Jamui and Jehanabad, 8 in Nawada, 2 in Purnia, 2 in Supaul, 3 in Aurangabad, 2 in Buxar, 2 in Madhepura and 2 people died in Kaimur.

Let me tell you that Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi alsoy expressed grief over the death of several people due to lightning in areas of Bihar and asked party workers to do everything possible to help the affected families. He tweeted, “I am shocked to hear the news of the death of 83 people due to lightning in Bihar. May God give his loved ones the strength to bear this sorrow. My appeal to the Congress workers is to extend all possible help to the victims’ families.”
