Pakistan Players To Go Through Another Fitness Camp To Be Part Of T20 World Cup 2024 Squad : Report

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has yet to reveal the squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup, set to take place in the USA and West Indies. The tournament is slated to commence on June 2, with Pakistan facing USA in their opening match on June 6.

Following a fitness camp with the army to enhance their fitness levels, the Pakistan cricket team is reportedly set to undergo another three-day fitness training camp in preparation for the upcoming series against Ireland.


The Pakistan Cricket team, under the leadership of Babar Azam, is scheduled to gather at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on May 4. The PCB has postponed the squad announcement for the World Cup due to fitness apprehensions, with indications pointing towards a probable unveiling post the 1st T20I against England on May 22.

Led by Babar Azam, the Pakistan cricket team recently competed in a T20I series against New Zealand, hosted by the PCB. Babar Azam & Co. leveled the 5-match T20I series with a 2-2 draw.

Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has commended the Pakistan cricket team ahead of their upcoming T20I series against Ireland.

“Fakhar Zaman & Azam Khan will be very dangerous in the middle. Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Amir are high-quality pacers. Even Imad Wasim bowls well in the powerplay. It’s a solid team,” Pathan said.
