'Parineeti is BACK!' Fans heap praises on Chamkila actress & her reaction is priceless!

Imtiaz Ali’s latest film, Chamkila, has become a roaring success amongst fans and critics. The biopic on legendary Punjabi folk singer, Amar Singh Chamkila has been getting rave reviews on social media as people applaud Diljit Dosanjh for his performance in the film.

Many are also calling it a comeback for Imtiaz Ali who seems to have returned to his

Rockstar era with another film based on a musical prodigy.

However, it’s Parineeti Chopra who seems to have made a solid comeback with the Netflix film, despite having a small role with barely any dialogues. Biopics are always a challenge for actors because it’s not easy to get the body language and mannerisms of someone people have admired for years. Amar Singh Chamkila and his wife Amarjot’s fame preceded them and despite very little footage of them, Diljit and Parineeti seem to have slipped into the skin of the character seamlessly.

Since the release of Chamkila on Netflix, people on social media have been applauding Parineeti’s performance, calling her role brief yet impactful. Here are a few fan reactions:

“PARINEETI IS BACK."

These words are ringing loud.

Hadn't thought of this.

Yes I am back, and not going anywhere! #Chamkila pic.twitter.com/Fl0572agbK

Amar Singh Chamkila was known for his bold and controversial songs on sex, relationships, drugs and violence in Punjab. This, expectedly, riled up many people who condemned him for his choice of songs. While a section of people continued to love him for his raunchy songs, others loved his devotional songs which he released in the latter half of his career. Imtiaz AliChamkila

Chamkila was also Parineeti Chopra’s first film after her wedding to AAP politician, Raghav Chadha. The two tied the knot in a dreamy ceremony in Udaipur last year.
