Petrol prices remain unchanged in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata; Gurugram, Noida see marginal change

New Delhi: Petrol prices today, August 24, 2019, remain unchanged in all the four metro cities New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, whereas, Gurugram and Noida witnessed marginal change. Petrol prices in New Delhi on Saturday, August 24, 2019, stayed at Rs 71.84 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol was retailing at Rs 77.50 per litre on Saturday, while, in Chennai and Kolkata, petrol was selling at Rs 74.62 and Rs 74.54 per litre, respectively.

This has been the fourth straight day when oil marketing companies have not changed the petrol prices in metro cities. 

Petrol prices in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata saw the last change on Monday, August 19, 2019. In Noida, petrol prices were reduced by 4 paise to Rs 73.79 per litre on August 24, 2019, from yesterday’s selling price of Rs 73.83 per litre and petrol prices on Gurugram saw a rise of 5 paise to Rs 71.78 per litre from Friday’s retail price of Rs 71.73 per litre.

Similarly, diesel prices in all four big cities -- New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata -- remain unchanged on Saturday, August 24, 2019. In New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai, diesel was retailing at Rs Rs 65.11, Rs 67.49, Rs 68.26 and Rs 68.79 per litre respectively, on Saturday, August 24, 2019. A 5-paise rise in diesel prices was witnessed in Gurugram, whereas, Noida saw a 4-paise cut in the diesel prices on August 24, 2019. 

Diesel was retailing at Rs 64.32 on Saturday, up 5 paise from Friday’s price of Rs 64.27 in Gurugram and in Noida, diesel was selling at Rs 65.4 on Saturday, down 4 paise from Friday’s price of Rs 64.40 per litre
