Prayogshala Fringe Theatre Festival 3.0: A theatre fest for all artistes of the city

The three-day festival commencing today will be celebrating theatre through different forms of the medium. Inaugurated by TVF pictures actor Gopal Dutt , the first day of the festival, begins with the Podcast- Poppedia Podcast with Gopal Datt, followed by a workshop called "PROCESS 2.O WORKSHOP BY JAIMIL JOSHI ".
The evening begins with an open mic where performers shall be performing in Gujarati, Hindi and English.
The first day of the festival ends with a special musical theatre performance by Gopal Datt.


The second day of the fest sees the the play Scrollnagar, a play performed by the students of Ahmedabad showcasing the impact of social media in our lives. The evening also sees an interactive session with the renowned artistes of the city Ankit Gor, Shakti Shivanand and Dushyant Malik. For the last act of the second day, the festival brings in a play by Atul Kumar , called Salma Deewani . The monologue is written and directed by Bhagyashree Tarke. A National School of Drama alumni, Bhagyashree will be performing the piece herself.


Where there is theatre, improvisations are inevitable. Which is why the last day of the festival begins with 3 Improvised Performances By Teams From Ahmedabad. On a Sunday evening, if you would like to experience a performative storytelling session, Preeti Das will be there to perform that for the audience.

To give a wholesome end to the festival, the last act is the of a collaborative play directed by the renowned theatre artists of Ahmedabad.
"Our aim is to celebrate theatre in Ahmedabad on a grand scale and to present an exciting experience to all the theatre enthusiasts of the city," says the festival director, Kailash Shahdadpuri .
