President Ram Nath Kovind to open Shanti Stupa programme

RAJGIR: Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC), Nalanda district administration and Rajgir Buddha Vihar Society (RBVS) are busy giving final touches to the preparations for a grand celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Vishwa Shanti Stupa atop Ratnagiri Hills in Rajgir on October 25.

President Ram Nath Kovind is scheduled to inaugurate the day-long celebration. While the BSTDC and the district administration have almost completed construction of toilets, repairing and painting of areas around the venue and installation of high mast light among others, the Rajgir Buddha Society (RBS), which is responsible for the administration and upkeep of Vishwa Shanti Stupa, is also busy ensuring that all the events can give a feel of piousness and spirituality.
