Punjab chief electoral officer orders to suspend election tehsildar Moga

BATHINDA: Chief electoral officer, Punjab S Karuna Raju on Sunday ordered to suspend election tehsildar Moga, Balwinder Singh on charges of negligence in duty with immediate effect.

In a press release issued on Sunday, chief electoral officer, Punjab apprised that he had received report from deputy commissioner Moga that election tehsildar Moga, Balwinder Singh was not obeying the orders regarding election duty and he did not send any reports to the Election Commission.

He was also absent from duty without any requisite prior permission.

Acting on it, the election officer has ordered the suspension of election tehsildar Moga, Balwinder Singh with immediate effect.

The officer has also ordered to give the charge of election tehsildar Moga to election tehsildar Barnala additionally.
