Put Respect On Their Name! KARD's BM Shows Support For Stray Kids After Group Faces Paps' Racist Jabs At Met Gala

Stray Kids made history as the first K-pop group to ever attended the Met Gala. While fans were utterly excited and proud, their mood was quickly ruined by the paparazzi who made some rather disrespectful comments towards the group's members. While leader Bang Chan handled the situation in a calm and collected manner, KARD's BM was having none of it and asked the paps to "square up."

BM shows support for Stray Kids post 2024 Met Gala incident After clips of the Met Gala paparazzi making disrespectful comments towards Stray Kids went viral, BM seemingly showed his support for the boy group on social media. Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), the KARD member dropped a gif of Kanye West saying 'square up' with the caption, "My guys handled that situation with elegance...put respect on their mf name."

With BM's life goal since 2020 being "to protect Stray Kids' members at all costs," Stays (Stray Kids' fans) believed that he was showing his support for the group, despite the rapper not mentioning them by name.

For the unversed, the Met paparazzi faced massive backlash due to their behaviour towards Stray Kids. In a now viral clip, a member of the paparazzi could be heard calling Stray Kids robots. "Never seen so many unemotional faces in my life," the pap said. The paparazzi also yelled directions at the group, with one yelling "everyone jump," before another sarcastically asked, "How do you say right in Korean." A third pap could be heard saying, "arigato" and "alright idiots. Furthermore, when Stray Kids did their outfit reveal, one cameraman commented that they could be confused for two groups due to their with and without jackets snaps.
