Rly announces changes in operation of over 70 trains

Madurai: The Madurai railway division has announced major changes in the operation of more than 70 train services from October 13 to 23 to facilitate signal and synchronisation works in the newly-laid Madurai – Usilampatti broad gauge line. Railway officials said the stretch is part of the Madurai – Bodi line.

According to a statement, train no. 56727 Tirunelveli – Sengottai passenger is cancelled from October 16 to 21. Instead one special passenger train will leave Tirunelveli at 11.45pm and arrive Sengottai at 1.45am during the same period. Train no. 06002 Tirunelveli – Tambaram Express is cancelled on October 20; train no. 56707 Dindigul – Madurai passenger is cancelled on October 21 and 22; train no. 56708 Madurai – Dindigul passenger is cancelled on October 20 and 21; train no.

06033 Ernakulam – Rameswaram Express is cancelled on October 21 and train no. 06034 Rameswaram – Ernakulam Express is cancelled on October 22.

Train nos. 56319/56320 Nagercoil – Coimbatore – Nagercoil passengers are cancelled between Kovilpatti and Dindigul and train nos. 56734/56735 Sengottai – Madurai – Sengottai passengers are cancelled between Virudhunagar and Madurai from October 13 to 22.

Train no. 56731/56732/56733 Madurai – Sengottai – Madurai passengers are cancelled between Madurai and Virudhunagar from October 18 to 22. Train no. 56736 Sengottai – Madurai passenger is cancelled between Virudhunagar and Madurai on October 17 and train no. 56736 Sengottai – Madurai passenger is cancelled between Virudhunagar and Madurai from 18 to 21.

Train no. 56769/56770 Palakkad – Tiruchendur – Palakkad passengers are cancelled between Dindigul and Tirunelveli from October 13 to 22 (except 15 and 18). Train no. 56769 Palakkad – Tiruchendur passenger is cancelled between Kudal Nagar and Tirunelveli on October 22. Train no. 56769 Palakkad – Tiruchendur passenger is cancelled between Palakkad and Tirunelveli on October 23.

Train no. 56770 Tiruchendur – Palakkad passenger is cancelled between Tirunelveli and Madurai on 15, 18 and 23 and between Tirunelveli and Palakkad on October 22. Train no. 56722/56725 Rameswaram – Madurai – Rameswaram passengers are cancelled between Manamadurai and Madurai from October 20 to 22.

Train no. 56726/56723 Rameswaram – Madurai – Rameswaram passengers are cancelled between Manamadurai and Madurai on October 20 and 21. Train no. 56724/56721 Rameswaram – Madurai – Rameswaram passengers are cancelled between Manamadurai and Madurai on October 21 and 22.
