Pink city-based franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR) will square off against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 4 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) on a doubleheader Super Sunday, March 24, at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, in Jaipur.

Notably, the two sides will meet only once in the league stage.

The hosts of the upcoming fixture finished fifth in the IPL points table last year and narrowly missed out on a place in the final four. Speaking of notable performances for the side, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal showcased a stellar season as he smashed 625 runs in 14 Innings. As a result, Jaiswal became the highest run-getter as an uncapped player in a single season of the league's history. The addition of Rovman Powell would see the balance in both departments. This will also brighten RR's chances of winning more matches in the upcoming edition he is in magnificent form in 2024.

On the other hand, LSG in the last two years of their campaigns, managed to reach the Playoffs under the leadership of KL Rahul. They lost both of their eliminators against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Kolkata in 2023 and Mumbai Indians (MI) in Chennai last year. Overall, the new franchise impressed everyone by reaching playoffs for consecutive two years.
