Sonakshi Sinha admits she doesn't have the aptitude to join politics



Sonakshi Sinha is currently winning praise for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhasali's debut OTT series ' Heeramandi : The Diamond Bazaar ' and beyond the camera, she has not plans to getting to politics . The actress wsa recently asked about following her father 's footsteps into politisc and Sonakshi had told Raj Shamani, "No, fir vahan bhi tum nepotism nepotism karoge.”

Further explaining her point of view, the actress stated that she is a very private person whereas one needs to have a “people’s person” quality to join politics. “All jokes aside, I don’t think I would because I’ve seen my dad do it. I don’t think I have the aptitude for it. My dad is a very people’s person. I am a very private person, and you’ve to be a people’s person, you’ve to be there for them and this could be anyone strangers from every part of the country, and I’ve seen my dad do that, so I don’t think I have that in me,” Sonakshi added.

In the narrative of 'Heeramandi', Sonakshi essays the character of Fareedan, who is said to be a big threat to Mallikajaan. This period drama also stars Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal Mehta, Farida Jalal, Shekhar Suman, Fardeen Khan and Adhyayan Suman in key roles.

Before 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar', Sonakshi made her acting debut with thriller series 'Dahaad', wherein she essayed the role of a cop. She shared the frame with Vijay Varma and Gulshan Devaiah in this series and earned much acclaim for her performance.
