Soon, health check-up of school drivers

Lucknow: A one-day workshop on safe school transportation policy was held as part of ‘ Mission Bharosa ’ at Lucknow Public School on Thursday.

Under the project, the district administration will initiate ‘ driving refresher training ’ and health checkups of drivers in coordination with various departments and school management, said divisional commissioner Roshan Jacob.

“The road accidents due to negligence of the school bus drivers are very distressing and we need to work towards averting such incidents. ‘Mission Bharosa’ is an initiative that prioritises the safe transportation of school kids,” she said.

According to the commissioner, the project provides a seamless and paperless framework to establish proper coordination among various stakeholders like RTO, police, education dept, schools, CMO, transport owners, parents and other citizens.

It uses an advanced Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning-enabled technology platform that strives to provide safe drivers and safe vehicles for the transport of children.
