SpiceJet to commence its first flight from Jharsuguda Airport on March 31

Jharsuguda: Budget passenger carrier SpiceJet has announced to commence its first flight from Veer Surendra Sai airport in Jharsuguda on March 31.

As per the reports, the first commercial flight will depart from Delhi at 1:50 PM and arrive at Jharsuguda at 3:50 PM. Thereafter, it will leave Jharsuguda airport at 4: 25 PM and reach Delhi at 6: 25 PM.

The all-inclusive airfare starts from Rs 3,701 and online air ticket booking has already commenced from February 27.

Earlier on February 27 at a press conference Ajay Singh the Chairman of the SpiceJet airlines had declared to kickoff its flight services on Jharsuguda-Delhi, Jharsuguda-Kolkata and Jharsuguda-Hyderabad routes. Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha and Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan were also present during the presser.

A safety team of SpiceJet had also visited the airport on February 9 for inspecting the infrastructural facilities and other arrangements.

It is worth mentioning that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated Jharsuguda airport in September 22, 2018.
