Stray Kids' Leader Bang Chan Wins Hearts With Humble Response To Insults By Paps At Met Gala 2024: Had A Great Time

The fans of K-pop band Stray Kids claim to be in shock at the way their idols were treated by the New York paparazzi on the red carpet of the biggest Fashion event Met Gala Ball on Monday. A video has been circulating all over the internet where photographers are disrespecting the group and striking negative comments within earshot of the pop stars as they posed at the fashion extravaganza.


Paparazzi Slam Stray Kids The South Korean boy band Stray Kids debuted at the Met Gala on Monday. However, unfortunately, their inaugural attendance was met with a bunch of disrespectful and demeaning comments. Several comments insulting comments were directed at the group by the paparazzi.

One photographer was heard saying "I've never seen so many unemotional faces in my life' before another brands the South Korean group robots.


Fans of the K-Pop band, which consists of members Changbin, Hyunjin, Bang Chan, Lee Know, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N. and Han, were enraged by this behaviour and took to took to X, (formerly Twitter) and slammed the photographers who were making such comments labelling them as 'unprofessional'.

The Video Clip Went Viral The footage which was recorded for a little over a minute, showed the boy band gracing the red carpet at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art as the iconic fashion event was in progress. The dashing octet members were posing and stood several feet apart from each other, before they turn their backs on the paparazzi for a moment to remove their overcoats. The idols then posed for the cameras again to show their co-ordinated outfits for the fashion extravaganza. However, their cool-as-ice demeanours didn't go down well with the waiting throng of photographers.

While one photographer was heard shouting South Korean word for 'thank you' politely- gam-sa-ham-ni-da- many other comments that were heard in the footage were called 'harassing' and 'rude' by fans.

One photographer is heard saying in a tone filled with sarcasm: 'Alright guys, tone it down! Tone it down!' as he tries to prompt them to be more expressive.

He then adds "What the f***? I've never seen so many unemotional faces in my life!"

A woman was heard saying, " 'They're robots", to which the same male voice responded: 'Yeah, right'.

The photographers groaned when the boys took off their jackets, and the same photographer shouted, " Now we've gotta do it again. Now, let's do it with feeling!"

Eventually, Stray Kids went up the stairs to the venue.

Moments after they left the red carpet, two of the photographers were heard saying that audiences will thing that there were 'two K-Pop bands' with their jackets on and off, sparking outrage from followers of the band.

BangChan's Response The leader of the band Bang Chan posted a message on Bubble Chat, a platform where K-pop idols interact with their fans. He posted a humbling message saying, "Had such a great time because everyone treated us so respectfully." He added a smile emoji at the end of the message.

Angered Fans' Response Several fans were upset about how the band was treated at the event calling the behaviour 'outrageous' and 'racist'.

One also penned a comment saying, "Gross and disrespectful! Stray Kids are owed an apology."

Another commented: "I am so mad. Stays, we can't let this side. No way."
