Sultanpur Lodhi being painted white by SAD
Ludhiana: The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leaders from Ludhiana on Monday performed Sewa to paint holy city Sultanpur Lodhi in white, this step to coincide with the 550th anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. President of the party, Sukhbir Singh Badal and Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal were one of the first to begin with the work.
The party workers of all districts were asked to perform the Sewa of painting Sultanpur Lodhi in white colour.
SAD district president, Ranjit Singh Dhillon and president of the youth wing of the party Gurdeep Singh Gosha said that large number of Akali Dal workers from Ludhiana performed the Sewa and entire city will be painted white . Ranjit Singh Dhillon and Gurdeep Singh Gosha said that Sultanpur Lodhi mainly the area near Gurdwara Ber Sahib was given different look in view of 550 birth anniversary celebrations of the Guru . Nanak Dev ji. A large number of people also joined the SAD in their initiative.
