Targeted killings: NIA team visits Ludhiana and Jalandhar, recreates crime scene

Ludhiana: A National Investigation Agency (NIA) team, probing the killings of RSS leader, (Retd) Brigadier Jagdish Gagneja, and RSS leader Ravinder Gosain reached Ludhiana on Thursday night. The NIA team also brought Ramandeep Singh alias Raman Canadian, an accused in the case, on production warrant of five days.



The NIA team at around 9.30am reached near Jodhewal Chowk where the accused had stolen two bikes, used in targeted killings. The team recreated the crime scene with the help of Raman Canadian. The team members also visited Ladhowal area, where the bike used to kill RSS leader Ravinder Gosain was abandoned. Later, the NIA team reached Jalandhar where Gagneja was killed and inspected the spot and other places related to his murder. The team recreated the crime scene there too.

Ravindra Gosain was shot dead by two masked assailants outside his residence in Gagandeep Colony of Basti Jodhewal area in Ludhiana, on October 17, 2017. Prior to that, Gagneja was gunned down on August 6, 2016 in Jalandhar. The NIA team is expected to go back on Saturday.
