Temporary stoppage of trains extended at Basmat

Aurangabad: South Central Railway (SCR) has announced extension of stoppage for three months at Basmat railway station from Pune-Amaravati-Pune and Nagpur-Kolhapur-Nagpur express trains, as per the press release.

The Pune – Amravati Express, train number 11405, will arrive at Basmat Railway station at 9.19 am and proceed further after a halt of one minute.

The Amravati – Pune Express (11406) will reach the station concerned at 23.19 pm and leave by 23.20 pm.

The Nagpur – Kolhapur Express (11403) is supposed to arrive at Basmat Railway station at 22:29 pm and proceed further after a halt of one minute. The Kolhapur – Nagpur Express (11404) will arrive at the station at 3.39 am and leave by 3.40 am.

Ch Rakesh,chief public relations officer of SCR, said that earlier these trains had temporary stoppage for six months which now has been extended to three months

SCR comes to rescue of airport authorities

A team of SCR led by the assistant divisional mechanical engineer,Prabhu charan, and the senior technician,Nazeer Khan, came to rescue of airport authorities from Nanded when a plane skidded on the runway recently.

SCR authorities said, “A private aircraft skidded off while landing at Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Airport, Nanded, on September 11. As the airport authorities could not operate their cranes due to weather conditions, SCR officials were asked for help. Following which necessary equipments was arranged for the restoration work.”
