The Movie Critic: Quentin Tarantino to reunite with Brad Pitt for last movie

According to the reports, Brad Pitt is set to join forces once again with acclaimed director Quentin Tarantino for his final cinematic endeavor, ‘The Movie Critic.’

Set against the backdrop of 1977 Los Angeles, ‘The Movie Critic’ unfolds the narrative of a critic employed by the fictional magazine, ‘The Popstar Pages.’ Tarantino shared insights into the film's inspiration, revealing that it is based on a guy who really never tasted fame while he wrote movie reviews for a porno rag. The character in question, characterized by his audacity and irreverence, offered humorous yet unapologetic perspectives on films.

Further, in outlining the lead character for the movie, the director expressed his desire for a fresh face, suggesting someone in the 35-year-old ballpark to be a new leading man for him. Describing the character as a sharp and cynical critic, he envisioned the reviews as a cross between early Howard Stern and Travis Bickle as film critics.

As Tarantino's proclaimed final project, ‘The Movie Critic’ marks the culmination of his illustrious directorial career. Thefilmmaker has previously disclosed his intention to retire after completing ten films, with ‘The Movie Critic’ securing its place as the tenth in his repertoire. Tarantino's penultimate creation, ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,’ achieved global success.

This movie is expected to go on the floors in 2025.

This marks the fourth collaboration between Pitt and Tarantino, with their previous works including ‘True Romance’ (1993), ‘Inglourious Basterds’ (2009), and ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ (2019). Notably, Brad's role in the latter earned him his inaugural Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. Tarantino, known for his distinctive storytelling and cinematic flair, has lauded the actor as one of the last remaining big-screen movie stars.

While Pitt's involvement in the film has not been officially confirmed, given his packed schedule, discussions are underway. Pitt is presently immersed in the production of a Formula One racing movie in collaboration with director Joseph Kosinski, renowned for ‘Top Gun: Maverick.’ Additionally, Pitt is set to feature in another F1 film alongside Javier Bardem and Damson Idris, yet to be titled. His upcoming projects also include sharing the screen with George Clooney in the thriller ‘Wolfs,’ and the recent releases ‘Bullet Train,’ an action-packed thriller, and the showbiz drama ‘Babylon.’
