This 35-YO Guy Is Cycling From Chennai To Germany To Raise Awareness About Human Trafficking

Riding from Mamallapuram in Chennai to Hamburg in Germany, athlete Naresh Kumar began a mission ‘Freedom Seat’. On the morning of February 27, the 35-year-old started his journey on a bicycle all the way to Hamburg, Germany in an attempt to raise awareness and money for survivors of human trafficking and child abuse.

But this is not the first time that Kumar is doing it, in 2017 he cycled the entire stretch of New Zealand. But for the first time, he will be biking across continents. The idea of the project is to pick up strangers on the way and educate and entertain them with his stories, according to The Hindu

“The reason for this cause is to end human slavery. I am very self-sustained on this journey. I will be going through 12 different borders through the Middle East & Europe. I have done similar missions in New Zealand & Australia, & all for the same cause,” Naresh Kumar told ANI.

The mission is supported by Dr MGR Educational And Research Institute. Kumar will ride more than 8,500 km in 90 days on a cycle. He also aims to raise money for survivors of human trafficking and child abuse.
