This village presented an example of cleanliness, government appreciated

Kamrup: A village in Assam has set an example for cleanliness in front of the entire country. Devalaya Gyan village under Sivasagar district has made place among the four villages which have been declared as the cleanest village by the Assam government. The BJP government of Sonowal had launched a cleanliness drive in the state under which four villages have been selected as clean and green.

However, Devalaya Gyan village was divided into three parts, which included men, women and youth. Together, all of them have taken an example cleaned the village. Not only this, these people have also planted more than 200 neem saplings.

These people not only cleaned their villages, but the villagers also started a door-to-door campaign to create awareness about cleanliness among the people. The Women's Safety Society has also supported them in this campaign from time to time. It is being told that on 6 September 2018, Forest Man India Jadav Paeng visited this village, after which he did not return.
