Three killed in car-truck collision near Bhuj

RAJKOT: Three persons including two women were killed and seven others injured when the car they were travelling in collided head-on with a truck on Bhuj-Bhachau highway near Dhaneti village of Bhuj taluka in Kutch district early Monday morning.


The deceased were identified as Puja Bhudia (18), a resident of Nava Vas in Madhapar village of Bhuj, Hiral Vaghela (19), a resident of Mirzapur locality of Bhuj, and Rajesh Gor (42), a resident of Kailashnagar locality of Bhuj.

“The victims were returning after visiting a water park in Mehsana. It appears that the driver of the car, identified as Sunny Joshi (22), dozed off while driving, and failed to notice the truck coming from the opposite direction,” said an official from Padhar police station.
