Three persons killed in road accidents in Chamba district
DHARAMSHALA: Three persons died in two different road accidents on Saturday morning in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh .
A woman and her daughter were killed after the car in which they were travelling fell into a 200-feet-deep gorge on Chamba-Pathankot road near Panjpula area. Two other persons were hospitalised with serious injuries.
The deceased have been identified as Shalini (35) and her daughter Pavni (13).
Police said that a case has been registered under Section 279, 337 and 304A of IPC. Eyewitnesses said that the car was overspeeding due to which the driver lost control over the vehicle.
In another case, a person named Sanjeev Kumar was killed after his car skidded off the road near Bakhtpur.
