Three shooters from Amritsar held in city

Indore: Crime branch of Indore police on Tuesday arrested three shooters of Shubham gang from Amritsar who had come to Indore to purchase weapons to exact revenge from their rival gang.

All the accused are habitual offenders and have cases like murder, attempted murder, rioting and possession of illegal firearms registered against them at various police stations.

Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotiya said that they had received information that a group of men were staying in room number 203 of Kaveri Hotel in Chhoti Gwaltoli area. A team was planted in the area in plain clothes and the suspects were detained.

Rashmi alias Rishu Aroda, Punit alias Pita Singh and Bablu alias Shivam Singh, all residents of Amritsar in Punjab were arrested and booked under relevant sections of the IPC after interrogations.

Police recovered four country made pistols along with three live cartridges from the possession of the accused. The accused said that they worked for the Shubham gang of Punjab and had come to Indore to purchase weapons in order to exact revenge from their rival gang. Both the gangs were at tenterhooks for the past five years. TNN
