Total number of voters in Kanpur dist now 36,05,445

Kanpur: After the publication of the final list of voters for Kanpur Lok Sabha seat, the number of voters has increased by 28,660. Earlier in January, the number of voters was 35.76 lakh.

Before the announcement of Lok Sabha elections, the Booth Level Officer (BLOs) had finalised the voters list through door-to-door campaigning.

The number of voters in Kanpur district has increased. As many as 28,660 voters added their names in the list in the last two months. Now the total number of voters in the district is 36,05,445 whereas there were 35,76,785 voters in the list published in January. In this way a total of 84,094 new voters increased in the district.The final voters’ list was released by the district administration on January 23.

There were 19,11,450 male voters, 16,65,126 female voters and 209 third gender voters. After this, online applications were invited from the people to become a voter.

The voters who could not get their names added to the voters list due to some reason were given the opportunity to apply online till April 15. The final list was published again on April 25.

Now there are 19,28,036 male voters and 16,77,206 female voters. The number of third gender voters has decreased from 209 to 203.
