TWICE's Dahyun Confirmed To Make Acting Debut In Sports-Based Film Sprint

TWICE's Dahyun is all set to make her acting debut! The singer-songwriter will be debuting in an indie film with Ha Seok-jin and Lee Shin-young.

Sprint. Confirming the reports, a source from TWICE's label JYP Entertainment shared, "She has been cast for the project and she is currently preparing for filming."


Directed by Lee Seung-hoon, Sprint is a sports-based film that will depict the lives of those who tirelessly run with impossible dreams in their hearts. Something About 1 Percent star Ha Seok-jin is confirmed to star as Kang Goo-young, a man who breaks Korea's 100 meter track record for the first time in 30 years, but ends up regretting the path her chose in life. Kang Goo-young is reportedly based on athlete Kim Kuk-young, who won the bronze medal at the Asian Games for the first time in 37 years in the 400 meter relay.

Rookie Cops fame Lee Shin-young will also be starring in the film as the passionate sprinter Seung-yeol. As per reports, Shin-young's character once dreamed of becoming a soccer player but ends up finding happiness in track.

About TWICE's DahyunKim Da-hyun, known as Dahyun, debuted as a member TWICE formed by JYP Entertainment in 2015. The talented star has written a bunch of songs for the group, including, When We Were Kids, Crazy Stupid Love
and more. In July 2023, Dahyun was named global ambassador for American fashion brand Michael Kors.
