Twinkle takes a dig at hubby Akshay
On Thursday evening Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar took to his social media handles to share stills from his film ' Padman ' and share an inspirational message on Menstrual Hygiene Day . However, the actor forgot to tag his wife Twinkle Khanna who is also the producer of the 2018 release.
Taking a jibe at hubby Twinkle retweeted Akki's post and wrote, "Err....
Replying to her tweet, Akshay apologised and mentioned, "Please mere pet pe laat mat maro. Missed tagging the team. Apologies to my producer, @mrsfunnybones, director #RBalki and the man without whom Padman wouldn’t be made @murugaofficial"
Early in the day Akki shared the BTS pics with Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte and mentioned, "It’s been 2 years to #PadMan and I’m glad we managed to push the envelope a little on this taboo subject. This #MenstrualHygieneDay, I hope we move a step closer towards ending period poverty and breaking taboos surrounding menstruation ."
'Padman' was inspired by the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham , a social activist from Tamil Nadu who changed the concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India.
