Two dead, four injured as SUV, mini-truck collide

Varanasi: Two persons died while four others were injured when a speeding SUV collided with a mini-truck in Shahganj area of Jaunpur district on Sunday night.

According to police, some residents of Makmarufpur village had gone to Shahganj to visit an acquaintance undergoing treatment in a hospital. During the return journey, their vehicle hit a mini-truck.

While the mini-truck overturned and fell into a roadside ditch, the SUV was damaged badly.

Two persons, Shravan Kumar (22) and Bahadur Bind (55), succumbed to injuries while four others, identified as Vishal, Neeraj, Sandeep and Chamola Devi, are undergoing treatment.
