Two escape from lock-up

Palanpur: Two undertrials escaped from the police lock-up of Modasa rural plice station in Aravalli district early on Sunday.

Police inspector N K Rabari said, “The accused, who were arrested for theft, escaped cutting the iron rods of toilet’s window sometime between 2am and 8am.” The duo was identified as Raju Kalbelia (24), a resident of Medipura village of Udaipur district and Mukesh Jogi, a resident of Chittodgardh district.

They were arrested on Wednesday were on remand up to Monday. Police have formed five teams to trace the fugitives.
