'Varsgangalkku Shesham' box office collection day 14: Vineeth Sreenivasan's film earns Rs 85 lakh

Vineeth Sreenivasan ’s directorial ‘Varsgangalkku Shesham’ is slowing down, as it wraps up the second week of the release. The film, which was released during the Eid-Vishu festive season minted Rs 85 lakh on the fourteenth day, according to a report by Sacnilk.

‘ Varshangalkku Shesham ’ earned an estimated Rs 31.93 crore in net collections across India during its initial two weeks of release.

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, the film registered an overall Malayalam occupancy rate of 19.55%. The film's worldwide collection currently stands at an impressive Rs 69 crore. The film has earned Rs 33 crore from overseas collection.

Helmed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, ‘Varshangalkku Shesham’ has Pranav Mohanlal and Dhyan Sreenivasan in the lead roles. The film also has actors Aju Varghese, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Basil Joseph, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Neeraj Madhav, Neeta Pillai, Arjun Lal, Nikhil Nair, Shaan Rahman, and Nivin Pauly in crucial roles.

ETimes rated ‘Varshangalkku Shesham’ 3 out of 5 and wrote, “Almost 20 years after Mohanlal and Sreenivasan did a film together about celluloid dreams, titled Udayananu Tharam, their sons have come together in a film on the same theme, but with a different feel. While Varshangalkku Shesham is also about missed opportunities, the Vineeth Sreenivasan directorial, which spans about 50 years, is at its heart a story of friendship, with lots of in-jokes woven in. Vineeth's script, where the two friends blow hot and blow cold, doesn't flow smoothly. And while audiences loved the jokes referencing Sreenivasan or the industry, the rest of the humor doesn't really land. Also, it's a bit disappointing that there are no prominent female characters. From such a fun team, we would have expected a more engaging, moving film.”
