[VIDEO] Man doing Nagin dance during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations suddenly dies in MP's Seoni

Seoni: In a bizarre incident, a man died while dancing to a popular tune from the Hindi movie Nagin during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Madhya Pradesh’s Seoni.

The video of the incident that has gone viral on social media shows the man dancing with three other people in a Ganesh pandal. He suddenly fell down and died, leaving everyone present there shocked and perplexed.

The incident took place on late Thursday night.

The man has been identified as Gurucharan Thakur. The cause of his death is yet to be ascertained.

Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chavithi is a Hindu festival which is celebrated everyear marks the arrival of Lord Ganesha to earth from 'Kailash Parvat' with his mother goddess Parvati or Gauri.

The 11-day festival is celebrated with great fervor by devotees who also bring Lord Ganesha’s idol to their homes.  It comes to end with the visarjan, or immersion of the idols into a water body, on Anant Chaturdashi.
