Weather office forecasts rain

BHOPAL: The day as well as night temperature was above the normal mark in the capital city and other parts of the state on Wednesday.


There was cloud cover at several parts of the state and a few places also witnessed showers. Officials at the Meteorological department, Bhopal circle, said there is a system in place over west Rajasthan and this could lead to showers in the state for the next two days, adding that there would be marginal dip in the mercury level once the system clears.



The day temperature in Bhopal on Wednesday was recorded at 34.8 degree Celsius, which was two degrees more than the normal mark, while the night temperature was recorded at 18.4 degree Celsius, which was a degree more than the normal mark.

The wind direction in the city was north westerly and the average wind speed was 15 kilometres per hour. The places that recorded showers included Jabalpur 5.4mm and Umaria 3mm.

The day temperature in Bhopal on Tuesday was recorded at 32.7 degree Celsius, while the night temperature was recorded at 15 degree Celsius, which was two degrees less than the normal mark.

In Thursday's forecast for Bhopal, Met officials said that there would be clear sky with the possibility of thundery development over the city during evening and night hours.

The day and night temperature in the city would be around 34 degree Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius respectively, while the average wind speed will be around 14 kilometres per hour.

In the forecast for Madhya Pradesh , the Met department underlined the possibility of thundery development at several places over Bhopal, Chambal region, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Guna, Shivpuri and Gwalior.
