Women set liquor vend on fire in Panchkula

Police have booked unidentified women for setting a liquor vend on fire in Dholuwal village, Pinjore, Panchkula . Cops had received a complaint from employees of the vend near Amravati Enclave in Pinjore that some women had come to the liquor outlet and asked them to shut the vend down.

However, sarpanch of the village pacified the two sides.

Later, the vend workers closed the shop as per the official timing and left. But, after an hour, they came to know that someone had set their vend on fire. On reaching there, they found that the liquor bottles inside had been destroyed and cash had got burnt.

They called the police and filed a complaint against the women. Police registered a case under various provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Explosives Act and the Epidemic Diseases Act at the Pinjore police station.
