#WorldLaughterDay: Laughter bridges cultural divides, says actress Hasanpreet

TV actress Hasanpreeet Kaur, who essays the role of Keerat in the Punjabi TV show, Dilan De Rishtey , is celebrating World Laughter Day today with a hearty laugh and warm message for people. While laughter is the proverbial best medicine, Hasanpreet, who is shooting for the show in Chandigarh suburbs, says, "Laughter is a universal language that bridges cultural divides and brings joy to everyone."

Hasanpreeet, who started out as a beauty pageant aspirant when she competed in Miss Punjabi, adds, " Stress is a sad reality of contemporary lifestyle and it also afflicts the youth, largely. And laughter is balm that calms it all and heals our tensions. If you are committed to laughing off everything in life, big and small, happy and sad, you can become a person who responds to stressful situations in a naturally happy and peaceful state."
Commenting on the therapeutic value of humour and joy amid life's challenges, she says, "I have learned how important it is to spread happiness and positivity . Laughter can heal wounds, strengthen bonds, and uplift spirits." She adds, "And incidentally, this is also why my character in the show has resonated with audiences, for she is relatable and the show has a light-hearted narrative, and Keerat is famous for her comic timing and warmth."
