Commentary
  • So, that is it from this game! Bangladesh have not only won the game but also the series. Still, two games to go through in this series with the 4th T20I being played on Saturday. That game begins at 1800 local (1200 GMT). Till then, take care and goodbye!
  • Mahmudullah, Man of the Match, says the way boys fought was brilliant. States it was not a 150 wicket, he and Shakib Al Hasan knew that one of them needed to bat deep as it was not easy for a new batter as the Aussies were bowling really well. States they wanted early wickets and build pressure and Fizz was excellent but it was a combined effort from everyone.
  • Matthew Wade says the bowlers have been really good, they kept them in most of the games but they have not taken the opportunity with the bat which is disappointing. States they never thought it was going to be an easy chase, they know Bangladesh is good towards the death and it was only going to get tougher and tougher. States the third wicket partnership was good and it laid a foundation but he is disappointed they could not close it out. Credits the way Nathan Ellis bowled but he hopes they can finish the tour with two wins.
  • ...Stay tuned for the presentation...
  • For Australia once again, Marsh was the star! This time though he got able support from Ben McDermott but the latter fell at the wrong moment. The others failed to contribute and also, lack of boundaries made it difficult. Once Marsh fell after getting to his half-ton, Australia needed a miracle. Mahedi Hasan did bowl an extremely poor 20th over but he did manage to defend the runs he had to. Overall, Australia will be pretty disappointed with how their batting has panned out in this series.
  • Have to say, this is a commendable effort from the hosts! What a performance! No matter how difficult the wicket is, defending something around 130 is never easy and they have done so AGAIN! Yes, it is a combined effort with the ball but there has to be a special mention for that one guy, probably the best left-arm pacer going around in this format, Mustafizur Rahman. He just gave away 9 runs in his 4 overs, he did not pick a wicket but take anything away from his efforts. He bowled tough overs, overs where the pressure was on Bangladesh and he shone with flying colors. However, it was Shakib and Nasum who put the pressure earlier on but the Fizz along with the youngster Shoriful Islam did brilliantly in the middle overs and towards the death.
  • Jubilation amongst the Bangladesh players! What a night for them! What a win for them! Just outstanding. For the very first time, they have won any kind of a series against the mighty Aussies and they have done it with two games to go. Stunning stuff.

Mahedi Hasan to Dan Christian, NO BALL! It is all happening here! A full toss, above the waist height! Dan Christian pulls it to square leg for a single. Free-Hit coming up. Dan Christian will be very disappointed! Had he hit that over the ropes, Australia would have had a serious chance, they still do but it could well have been the defining hit.
