Commentary
  • That's it from this warm-up match! The next set of warm-up games will be played on 20th October. At 2 pm local (10 am GMT), India will be in action against Australia and England will be entertaining New Zealand whereas at 6 pm local (2 pm GMT), Afghanistan will face West Indies and Pakistan will meet South Africa. Do join us then. Cheers!
  • The bowling from India though was good only in patches. In fact, both teams struggled with the ball. Barring Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah, all the Indian bowlers proved to be expensive. For England, David Willey and Liam Livingstone were decent but the rest struggled. Dew also played its part late in the evening and this will be another challenge in the coming games.
  • At the halfway stage, India needed another 97 runs and had they lost a few wickets there, this game could have slipped away. Ishan Kishan's stunning attack on Adil Rashid in the 12th over eased down the equation for India and from there on, they kept on finding the boundaries to always stay close to the required rate. Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya staying in the middle and closing the chase would please India even more.
  • A dominating batting show by India to pocket this warm-up game! It got a bit close towards the end but it was always their game to lose. The Men in Blue got most of the boxes ticked, if not all, in their batting department. KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan displayed great form in the recently concluded Indian T20 League and showed that they are not done yet. Their opening partnership almost did half the job and Ishan extended his stay after that to carry on with his onslaught.

Chris Jordan to Hardik Pandya, NO BALL AND FOUR BYES! Oops. Looks like the ball slipped out of Jordan's hand. A waist-high full toss, way outside off, Pandya looks to connect with this but misses. It is too quick for Jos Buttler to stop and the ball speeds away to the ropes. Free Hit coming up too.
