Commentary
  • That is it from this game then! Bangladesh win the series 2-0. That is the end of this series. We witnessed two very exciting games. Ireland will be disappointed with this result but they have given Bangladesh a good fight. We hope you enjoyed our company. Until next time, goodbye and take care!
  • Tamim Iqbal says he had no idea he was going to give Najmul Hossain Shanto the bowl but the way Mehidy Hasan bowled made him give the ball to him. States, he felt the game was gone at one stage but cricket is a funny game and once they got a couple of wickets, they started to believe. Adds Ireland is a quality side, they just need to play more cricket around the world.
  • MAN OF THE SERIES, Najmul Hossain Shanto says he has been working on his bowling and it came off today. States Mehidy Hasan has helped him a lot and he just followed the instruction. Mentions he was ready to bowl if given a chance. Informs he tries to bowl like Mehidy Hasan. Adds his first ton was more special than his first wicket.
  • MAN OF THE MACTH, Mustafizur Rahman, says he has been doing this for a long time and hence, he is use to the pressure. States he wanted to take five wickets but he got four and is happy about it. Ends by thanking the crowd for their support.
  • Andy Balbirnie says it is a tough loss to take. States they were going really well but couple of quick wickets turned things. Adds they were going well but lost too many wickets at the back end. Reckons the batting was not upto the mark towards the end.
  • Bangladesh did not bowl all that well at the start but it was towards the end where they came into their zone. The wicket got slower and the variations worked brilliantly for them. Mustafizur Rahman was brilliant. He was the star with a four-fer. Hasan Mahmud yet again impressed. He showed how good he is under pressure as well. Mrittunjoy Chowdhury was just not as his best but the excellent bowling from the rest mean their side got over the line.
  • What a game! What a game of cricket! In the end, it is Bangladesh who have won but they have pulled out a rabbit. This was Ireland's game, they should have won it and were in a brilliant position. The chase was going so well for them. Stirling and Andy Balbirnie laid the platform. Harry Tector and Lorcan Tucker then continued the good work. They needed around when Harry Tector fell and that changed the game. Wickets fell in heaps after that and the batters to follow just succumbed under the pressure. Mark Adair towards the end, revived the hopes with some meaty blows in the second last over. It came down 10 needed from the last 6 balls but it was Hasan Mahmud who kept his cool and defended it.
