  • Earlier in the game, The Indian batters just couldn't gather any momentum as the wickets kept on tumbling for them. Shreyas Iyer and Washington Sundar played a good knock scoring 49 and 51 respectively. Daryl Mitchell and Adam Milne were the pick of the bowlers for New Zealand as they bagged three wickets each. They restricted India to a below-par total of 219 and were on their course to chase the total but the rain gods had something else planned for them.
  • India was outplayed in this game but seeing at the bright side, this series have provided a great learning experience for this young Indian side. Gill performed exceedingly well, Washington Sundar was outstanding in this series, and the young players got a chance to get some experience at the international level. Going ahead, they will be hoping for a better performance in their bowling unit.
  • The Kiwis always had the upper hand in the game and clearly, they were the better side in the game. Their openers started well for them and Finn Allen was dismissed for 57 after an amazing knock. They were104/1 inside 18 overs where the rain played a spoilsport. Nonetheless, they win the series by 1-0 and they will be the happier side at the end of the series.
