Commentary
  • That is it from this game then! Still a game to go, Pakistan will want to inflict the whitewash whereas, New Zealand will want to end the tour on a high. Can they bag their first win of the ODI series? That game will begin 1600 IST (1030 GMT). Till then, goodbye and take care!
  • Babar Azam, MAN OF THE MATCH, says it was a good game and he is pleased they are number 1 in the ODI rankings and credit to the boys as they did really well. States it has been a memorable journey and the team has supported him a lot and he is pleased with how they performed. Also says, the stand with Shan Masood was good and so was his stand with Agha Salman, they wanted to take it deep and he felt it was a 300-run wicket and Shaheen added the finishing touch.
  • Tom Latham starts by crediting the way Pakistan played and says Azam's knock was really good. States players are getting exposure and it is good and it will help them learn. States it would be good to take it deep, they needed someone to go deep but that was not the case.
  • For the Kiwis, a few of their batters got off to starts but none went onto play a big knock and that is what they needed! Whenever they got going, they kept losing wickets and in the end, have fallen well short of Pakistan's total.
  • A comprehensive win then for the hosts and they are 4-0 up in the series so far! To be honest, over 330 was always going to be a difficult task. Courtesy Babar's 100, they got to a total which was well above par. Also, their bowlers stepped up to the occasion. Whenever a partnership was building, they managed to break it. Usama Mir was the pick with a four-fer. Mohammad Wasim and Haris Rauf also had a good game. Overall, it was a complete performance.
