Commentary
  • Right then. That is all we have from this game. The third T20I of the UAE Summer T20I Bash between United Arab Emirates and Ireland will be played on Friday, 08th October, 2021 at 9.30 am local (5.30 am GMT). Do join us then. Cheers!
  • For his brilliant contribution with bat and ball, Curtis Campher has been awarded the Man of the Match.
  • The foundation for this win was laid by the Irish bowling. They were very disciplined to restrict UAE to a below-par total and then their opening pair of Paul Stirling and Kevin O'Brien batted with full control, started slowly and then increased the tempo of their partnership. Their alliance of 90 runs nearly put the chase to bed. A few wickets fells but the victory for Ireland was never in question. The bowling from United Arab Emirates was largely flat in the first 10 overs. Had they picked a few early wickets, the result could have been different. Basil Hameed was the pick of the bowlers with a 3-wicket haul but he was the lone fighter for the home team.
  • Slight hiccup towards the end but still an easy win for Ireland. Curtis Campher enjoyed a great game with the ball and when his team looked to be heading towards a nervy finish, he emerged with the bat and finished the chase in the three balls he faced.

Basil Hameed to Curtis Campher, FOUR! Could that be the final nail in the coffin for UAE? Looks like Curtis Campher has taken his side home with this boundary. Too short this time, on middle, Curtis Campher shuffles across and pulls this past short fine leg for a boundary.
  • Curtis Campher walks in next.

Basil Hameed to Kevin O'Brien, OUT! CAUGHT! Is there a twist in this game? Hameed gets his third wicket as Kevin has to go back now. A good knock from him but he falls 4 short of his fifty. This is tossed up, fuller on middle, Kevin O'Brien slams this one towards the long on region and it looks like he has given it enough for it to cross the ropes. It goes high in the air, but straight to Rohan Mustafa who was stationed there. 9 more needed from 10 balls.
  • The bowler pulls out and gives a long stare to the non-striker. Hmm...

Basil Hameed to Gareth Delany, Stumping chance missed! This should have been another wicket for Hameed.
