Maruti Suzuki has quietly brought back the CNG variant of its Grand Vitara SUV after a short break in sales. With boosted safety and a strong feature list, the Grand Vitara CNG is now better equipped to woo mileage-conscious SUV buyers in India.
What’s New?
The biggest change is safety. The 2025 Grand Vitara CNG now gets six airbags as standard, along with a solid safety kit that includes ESP, Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, tyre pressure monitoring, disc brakes on all wheels, a rear-view camera, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

Available in Delta and Zeta trims, the Grand Vitara CNG is priced at ₹13.48 lakh and ₹15.62 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. These are the same variants as before, but now packed with more assurance on the safety front.
Engine & Mileage
The powertrain remains unchanged. The SUV continues to run on the tried-and-tested 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 88 hp and 121.5 Nm in CNG mode, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Maruti claims a mileage of 26.6 km/kg.
