Land Rover has globally unveiled the refreshed 2026 Discovery Sport, bringing along new special edition trims, a more premium cabin, and upgraded tech. While the SUV is currently on sale in the UK starting at £45,440 (around ₹48.39 lakh), its India debut is likely in early 2026.

Three Trims, Three Distinct Characters
The updated Discovery Sport lineup now includes three variants: Dynamic S, Landmark Edition, and Metropolitan Edition, each tailored with unique touches and features.

Dynamic S – Sporty Yet Sophisticated (£45,440 / ₹48.39 lakh)

  • Gets a darker, more aggressive exterior with gloss black treatment on the grille, bumpers, and trim.
  • New alloy wheel design adds flair.
  • Inside, a new 11.4-inch curved touchscreen runs the latest Pivi Pro interface.
  • Comes with connected car tech, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, paddle shifters, a digital driver display, and upgraded cabin materials.

Landmark Edition – A Tribute to Legacy (£49,100 / ₹52.31 lakh)

  • Celebrates 35 years of the Discovery nameplate.
  • Unique details include mountain graphics on the door sills and puddle lamps.
  • Features like a 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, roof rails, and rear-seat tablet holders add to the comfort and utility quotient.

Metropolitan Edition – Top-tier Luxury (£55,885 / ₹64 lakh)

  • Luxed-up with Atlas Silver Discovery badging, Indus Silver accents, and 20-inch diamond-cut alloys.
  • Offers 14-way Windsor leather seats with heating and ventilation, a 14-speaker 650W Meridian audio system, cabin air filtration, and a digital rear-view mirror.
  • Comes with Metropolitan-branded tread plates and a silver-insert grille for added exclusivity.

Powertrains: Hybrid-Ready, Off-Road Steady

No major mechanical changes under the hood, but Land Rover continues with its smart mix of power and efficiency:

  • 2.0-litre diesel mild-hybrid options produce 161 bhp or 201 bhp, both supported by a 48V system.
  • Plug-in hybrid version pairs a petrol engine with an electric motor and 15 kWh battery, delivering 265 bhp and up to 58 km of electric-only driving.

India Launch Expected in 2026
Although not officially confirmed, Land Rover is expected to bring the updated Discovery Sport to Indian shores in early 2026.

With a blend of modern tech, thoughtful luxury, and a nod to its heritage, the 2026 Discovery Sport aims to stay relevant in the competitive luxury SUV space while appealing to both loyalists and new-age buyers alike.
