2026 MG Hector Facelift Launched With Big Price Cut & Tech Upgrades
MG India has rolled out another update for the first-generation Hector, introducing the 2026 facelift with a sharp reduction in prices and a handful of visual and technology upgrades. Starting at Rs 11.99 lakh ex-showroom, the revised pricing makes the SUV significantly more competitive in the midsize segment. While the overall design remains familiar, MG has focused on value, features and interior technology to strengthen the Hector’s appeal against newer rivals.
Aggressive Pricing Repositions The Hector
The biggest talking point of the 2026 MG Hector facelift is its revised pricing. The petrol range now starts at Rs 11.99 lakh, marking a substantial Rs 2.1 lakh drop compared to the outgoing model. Even the top-spec petrol variant is cheaper by up to Rs 1.77 lakh. The Hector Plus 7-seater begins at Rs 17.29 lakh, while prices for the 6-seater version are yet to be revealed. At present, MG has announced prices only for petrol variants, with diesel pricing scheduled for next year.Exterior Design Gets Minor But Noticeable Updates
The facelifted Hector retains its bold stance but receives subtle cosmetic changes. The large front grille remains unchanged in size, though the pattern has been updated with new honeycomb-style slats. The lower air dam has been redesigned, while the 18-inch alloy wheels and rear bumper also feature refreshed styling. Lighting elements, including the split headlamp setup and connected LED tail-lamps, have been carried over from the previous version. You may also like
